The Guilded Image

The Guilded Image is a unique process utilizing ink and varnish on translucent vellum over metal leaf. This hand crafted method of image creation is a labour intensive process and, because the gold, white gold or silver metal leaf adheres differently each time it is applied, every image is an original. These images have an exquisite patina and their small size, invites the viewer to experience them at an intimate and personal level. The look and feel is remarkable, transcending conventional photography and presenting as a unique and exquisite art object. The images are presented in Limited Editions of 40 and are signed and numbered en-recto at the time of printing. Each image comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
