Steve has honed his skills as a graphic designer and visual artist over the past 20 years. He has been self employed during this time and was also a partner and creative director in a 12 person full service design studio. His belief is that graphic design, when done well, should serve as a vehicle for imparting information. To this end, he has worked diligently to refine his style to one of ‘strong clean graphics’ with an emphasis on providing focused visual support for the content. “Content is key” he says, “and the purpose of good design should be to focus the readers attention on the message”.

Another aspect of his design philosophy is that it is critical to be a good listener. You have to be able to listen carefully before you begin designing. “Most often, the best ideas come from the client … after all, its their Company”.
