My earliest photographic images were all colour chromes, shot on Kodachrome film which had to be sent directly to Kodak for processing. The film was purchased with a small yellow envelop for mailing and I had to wait a week to ten days for the processed film to be returned by mail. I can remember standing at the counter of the Temagami post office with my yellow box of gold, holding the individual 35mm chromes up to the light and squinting at the images looking for that nugget of photographic excellence.
