Multi Media:
Mutli media design is a complicated business but gives so much more dimension to any communications piece. Incorporating video, animation and navigation into a piece gives another element of depth which cannot be replicated in print. The project below incorporates Illustration, photography, video and flash animation (menus).

Music:
I love music. I am a hack on the guitar and my voice is similar to the sound of nails on a blackboard. So, I have to get my music fix vicariously which I do through music design. I have worked on a number of projects with my good friend, photographer, Todd Korol.
When Paul Rumbolt and I first met to discuss the design for his upcoming project he told me the title would be "SongSmith" I immediately thought of the idea of a blacksmith type character forging songs in his smithy. Paul knew the caretaker for the Bar U Ranch and we arranged to shoot there. The only problem was that we were shooting in January and the outside temperature was -15 celcius. Paul had to hold his breath while we were shooting and the steel he was holding was cold enough to stick to your tongue (not that I tried this). The following images show how the final cover image was built up in PhotoShop.
